Portable Planetarium Training

Practice setting up a portable dome & projection system and learn how to use a full-featured planetarium at your fingertips. This day will be a hands-on experience to prepare participants for the use of the equipment back in their own district.

Google Admin Console Certification Training by: Amplified IT

Level 1: Amplified Google Admin Certified Bootcamp

Join Amplified IT for the Live, 1 day comprehensive training that will guide your IT staff through educational best practices and Google Admin console skills and techniques. The bootcamp includes a series of training lessons, real-world education examples, and knowledge checks to prepare attendees for life as a school G Suite administrator. A brief test will be given at the end of the course to assess your new found skills.

Level 2: Amplified Google Admin Certified Bootcamp

The Amplified Admin Level 2 Certification training is an advanced-level Google Admin course and requires an LEVEL 1 certification to validate fundamental knowledge of the Google Admin environment. This course will build on the basics learned in Level 1 to address more complex settings, topics and advance best practices as it applies to education.
 
This certification has recently been changed and no longer requires 2 year refreshers.

The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) is partnering with the Educational Service Centers (ESCs) of Indiana to provide support for both currently licensed teachers in non-STEM areas, and prospective teachers who are not licensed and hold a bachelor’s degree, to become licensed to teach a STEM subject. The IDOE has identified eligible STEM content areas as life science, chemistry, earth/space science, physics, physical science, computer science, technology education, and mathematics.

Computer Science Catalyst Grant Application Now Open: Applications for the 2023-2024 Computer Science Catalyst Grant are now open through 4 p.m. ET on Friday, June 2. This competitive grant opportunity for schools is funded through appropriations by the Indiana General Assembly in the Next Level Computer Science Fund. This grant aims to spark innovation in computer science education by accelerating pedagogical knowledge of educators, increasing the number of PK-12 students who have access to high-quality computer science learning experiences, and promoting the use of computer science in authentic problem solving. Sign Up for June SAT Data Workshops:  College Board and IDOE will host summer SAT Data Workshops to support schools and corporation teams with accessing and using their spring SAT data. Each school and/or corporation should bring a team of educators who will review their data from the recent SAT administration and develop a plan for utilizing data in the 2023-2024 school year. Participants will also receive an introduction to the new digital SAT launching this fall. Register for sessions across the state here. Contact College Board with any questions.
