The IDOE has started releasing the proposed streamlined and high priority standards for public comment. Note the legal requirements imposed on the IDOE, upcoming release dates for other subjects, and the closing date for providing feedback to the IDOE.

Legislative Areas of Interest
Bills to watch related to the Science of Reading — House bills 1558 and 1590 and Senate bills 402 and 443. These include defining the term, and making requirements for it such as district reports, and teacher prep.
SB 380 proposes changes to the calculation for graduation rate as well as addresses graduation waivers and dress code policies. |
