Samantha Berrier
Chief Financial Officer

Samantha Barrier is the Chief Financial Officer at River Forest Community School Corporation. She began her career with corporation in May of 2021.

This year, Samantha’s focus has been on maximizing the use of grant funding to make the best impact to the River Forest school community. This includes finding creative ways to utilize funding and also writing for new grants. She is also working on a Comprehensive Financial Plan including their multi year Capital Improvement Plan.

We asked Samantha what some of her future goals or dreams for River Forest are. She shared, “In my time at RF I have dedicated myself to develop successful systems of operations within our corporation. My future goals include continuing to develop these systems in a way where they will be sustained. I am focused on providing a quality education and big school opportunities for our students and families.”

Samantha learned very early on that the River Forest Community is very special. They have families who have been part of the community for many generations. She is both honored and thankful to be welcomed into the community. Knowing that she is being a responsible custodian of finances and operations for the community is most rewarding to her.

In her spare time, Samantha most enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to cook and find new recipes or restaurants to go to. She finds herself "pinning" more recipes than she would ever have time to make! She enjoys shopping and finding items to buy for others. Samantha and her husband enjoy hosting family gatherings at their house. They also love to host their out of state family and travel to visit with them as often as possible.
